Agon Serifi

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Disney Research Robotics Team. Before that, I completed my PhD in Computer Science (2025) at the Computer Graphics Laboratory (CGL) at ETH Zurich and Disney Research, under the supervision of Markus Gross and Moritz Bächer. I hold a Bachelor's degree (2019) and a Master's degree (2021) in Computer Science from ETH Zurich.

My research focuses on physics-based control for robotic characters, creating natural, versatile, and dynamic motions through deep reinforcement learning. These methods enable robots to move in lifelike ways and exhibit engaging behaviors as they react autonomously to their environment. Drawing insights from human motion and behavior, and bridging simulation with reality, the work expands robotic capabilities and advances embodied intelligence. I aim to enable robots to integrate seamlessly and naturally into our world.
