Agon Serifi
I am pursuing my PhD in Computer Science at the Computer
Graphics Laboratory (CGL) at ETH Zurich and Disney
Research, under the supervision of Markus
Gross and Moritz Bächer.
I hold a Bachelor's degree (2019) and a Master’s degree (2021) in Computer Science from ETH Zurich.
My research advances physics-based control for robotic characters, with a focus on creating
lifelike, versatile, and dynamic motions. At its core, my work seeks to make robots move and
act in ways that are natural. To achieve this, I develop methods and frameworks that
leverage deep reinforcement learning, enabling robots to be more engaging, versatile and
adapt autonomously to diverse environments. By bridging the gap between simulated and
real-world capabilities, my research pushes the boundaries of what robotic systems can
achieve. Ultimately, I seek to evolve embodied intelligence by deeply understanding and
integrating insights from human motion and behavior.
